Madeline Pizarro Powell, 87, of the 1500 block of Harmon St., took her final journey on Feb. 5, 1996, and now is at peace.
Mrs. Powell, a native of Newburgh, N.Y., was a member of St. Pius X Catholic Church.
She is survived by her husband, Vincent N. Powell of Norfolk; a daughter and son-in-law, Pat and Bill Blue of Virginia Beach; a brother, Joseph Pizarro of Newburgh; and three grandchildren, Christy, Billy, and Courtney Blue of Virginia Beach.
A Funeral Mass will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Little Creek Amphibious Base Chapel by Father Edward L. Richardson. Burial is in Princess Anne Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to American Cancer Society, 1509 Clifton Road, N.E., Atlanta, Ga. 30329. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, is in charge.
