Police are investigating the suspicious death of a 31-year-old woman whose body was discovered Monday at her residence.
Helen Mary Kathryn Mewborn was found in her home in the 600 block of Briarfield Road shortly after noon. Bobby Kipper, spokesman for the Newport News Police Department, said police will wait until the autopsy before deciding how to investigate Mewborn's death.
Kipper said the autopsy could be completed as early as today.
