Ray M. Jones, 79, a native of Clem, Ga., died Tuesday, Feb. 6, 1996.
Mr. Jones was retired from C & O Railroad. He was a member of the Moose, Masons and Lafayette Gun Club.
He is survived by three sisters, Margaret J. Williams of Virginia, Mabel Holloway and Evelyn Mooney of Georgia; two brothers, Bennie W. Jones and Kenzie A. Jones of Georgia; nieces and nephews in the Tidewater area include, D.P. Carter, Theresa Carter, Cindy Harrell, Dave Carter, C.A. Carter, Alice Carter, Teresa Lupton, Rusty Carter, W.H. Wynn, Mary M. Wynn, T.W. Ferry, S.D. Erickson, C.E. Litman, Jimmie Litman, J.L. and R.P. Pitsenbarger; and a number of grand nieces and nephews.
He was sent from Foster Funeral Home, Portsmouth, to McKoon Funeral Home in Newnan, Ga., for services. Memorial donations to charity of choice or the Alzheimer Association.
