Percy A. Bly Sr., of the 200 block of South Birdneck Road, died Feb. 5, 1996.
Mr. Bly, a native of Princess Anne County, was retired from the city of Virginia Beach after 47 years of service.
Survivors include his wife, Amanda K. Bly of Virginia Beach; a daughter, Patsy B. Allen of Virginia Beach; a son, Percy A. Bly Jr. of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Ivy Woodies and Mary Bell Morris, both of Virginia Beach; two grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his mother and father, Lucy W. Bly and Charlie Bly.
The funeral will be conducted at 1:30 p.m. Thursday in Mount Olive Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, by the Rev. Lamont Brown. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Community Funeral Home, Virginia Beach Chapel, is in charge.
