A 34-year-old Portsmouth man has been reported missing by his family after more than a week of no contact.
Roy W. Hernandez of Gillis Road was last seen leaving for work the morning of Jan. 25, said Amber Whittaker of the Portsmouth Police Department. Hernandez was driving a red Mercury Bobcat with Virginia license plates ZRG3844.
He is described as 5 feet 2 inches tall and weighing 120 pounds with brown eyes and black, curly hair. He was wearing blue jeans, a green jacket and a baseball cap at the time of his disappearance.
The car has been reported seen on North Carolina's Outer Banks, Whittaker said.
