Makesha Calvette Roberts, 17, of the 1500 block of Antler Circle, died Feb. 14, 1996, in Virginia Beach General Hospital.
She was a student at Salem High School and a native of Norfolk. She was a member of New Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C., Virginia Beach. She was involved in the Mass Choir and a member of Virginia Beach District step team.
Survivors include her parents, Joyce S. Roberts and Calvin Roberts, both of Virginia Beach; a sister, Alicia Roberts of Virginia Beach; two brothers, Calvin Roberts II and Eric Roberts, both of Virginia Beach; grandmother, Etta Roberts of Portsmouth; grandmother, Isabelle Armstrong of Norfolk; an aunt, Denise Smith of Norfolk; an uncle, Charles Spruill of Chesapeake; and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday in New Jerusalem C.O.G.I.C. by Dr. Barnett Thoroughgood. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park. Viewing will be at the church Saturday from 10 a.m. to noon. Family and friends will assemble at 1502 Antler Circle, Virginia Beach, at 11 a.m. for the procession to the church. Serenity Funeral Home is in charge.
