U.S. Supreme Court Justice Antonin Scalia will be the graduation speaker at the College of William and Mary this spring, the college announced Friday.
Scalia, considered to be among the leading conservative legal intellects in the country, was on a list of a handful of speakers sought by the senior class, Vice President W. Samuel Sadler said.
Scalia's son Chris is a sophomore at the college. ``I don't think it had any role in the students' nomination of him,'' Sadler said. ``I hope it had something to do with his decision to accept.''
Graduation will be at 1 p.m. May 12 at William and Mary Hall. by CNB
