JAMES COPELAND

James ``Little Buddy'' Copeland, 81, died Feb. 17, 1996.

A native of Nansemond County, he was a member of Cornith Chapel United Church of Christ, Suffolk.

Survivors include a sister, Ethel C. Joyner of Windsor; a nephew, Willie Lee Copeland of Hampton; four nieces, Regena C. Joyner of Windsor, Liz Harris of Fort Washington, Md., Linda J. Willis of Baltimore, Md., and Brenda Lewis of Suffolk; a great-nephew; three great-nieces; a great-great-nephew; a great-great-niece; and a dear friend, Frances Hunter of Suffolk.

A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Wednesday in Cornith Chapel United Church of Christ, Suffolk, by the Rev. Millard Boone. Burial will be in the Dillard and Copeland Cemetery. The casket will be in the church at 11 a.m. Wednesday. The family will assemble at noon at 7926 Gates Road, Suffolk. Pretlow & Chapman Funeral Home, Smithfield, is in charge.
