Thedis Sylvereen Bridger, 85, died Feb. 19, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
She was a retired manager from Emily's Florist in Norfolk. She was a native of South Norfolk and the widow of S. Paul Bridger Sr. She was a member of Parkway Temple.
She is survived by her daughter and her husband, Emily B. Williams and Tom of Gates; son and his wife, S. Paul Bridgers Jr. and Willa of Gatesville, N.C.; foster son, Perl Totman of Avis, Pa.; two sisters, Ada Callis of Gulf Breeze, Fla., and Etta Breeding of Richmond, Va.; 11 grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by the Rev. Ernest L. Trueblood and the Rev. Fred Williams in Parkway Temple. Burial will be in Rosewood Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Tidewater Drive Chapel, today from 7 to 8 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association or to Parkway Temple Building Fund.
