Travis Delanie Smith, 93, died Feb. 20, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.
He was the widower of Othoneal Baker Smith and a member of Cottage Place United Methodist Church, Portsmouth. He was also a member of Portsmouth Naval Masonic Lodge (NU)100 and a native of Nansemond County, Va. He was the retired superintendent of Olive Branch Cemetery in Portsmouth.
He is survived by his daughter, Betty Rose Chouinard of Minneapolis, Minn; stepdaughter, Diane H. Smith of Raleigh, N.C.; three grandchildren; and a great-grandson.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday by the Rev. James D. Thomas in Loving Funeral Home Chapel. Burial is in Olive Branch Cemetery. There will be a visitation from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home and other times at 3409 Wakefield Drive.
