Mildred White Williford, 86, of Route 2, now lives in heaven. She died Feb. 20, 1996.
She was the sole survivor of the Jesse Walton and Grizelle Miller White family. She was a homemaker and the widow of Bernard V. Williford.
Survivors include two sons, Joe M. and Linda Williford of Roper, N.C., and B.D. ``Sonny'' and Nellie Williford of Windsor, N.C.; a daughter, Ruth W. Smith of Virginia Beach; three granddaughters, Lindsey Williford of Roper and Sharon Mayhue and Christie Williford, both of Chesapeake; four grandsons, Mark Williford of Roper, Bernard Smith of Virginia Beach, Joe Smith of Chesapeake and Steve Williford of New York; and a great-granddaughter, Katie Mayhue of Chesapeake.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Friday at Merry Hill Baptist Church by the Rev. Ralph Knight. Burial will follow in Edgewood Cemetery, Windsor. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 p.m. today at Walker Funeral Home.
