Apostle Ernest C. Harris, of the 5400 block of Bayberry Drive, died Feb. 19, 1996.
Mr. Harris was a retired minister of United House of Prayer For All People, Burton Station, where he was also a member. He was a member of Masonic Lodge James P. Carter (NU)195 P.H.A., and a World War II veteran. He was a native of Norfolk.
Survivors include his wife, Thelma B. Harris; a daughter, Bertha Sowell of Norfolk; two sons, Lou Gary Harris of Norfolk, Gleason R. Harris of Louisville, Ky.; a sister, Grace Nixon of New York; six granddaughters; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at noon Saturday by Apostle Curtis Sutton at United House of Prayer For All People, 4426 Princess Anne Road, Virginia Beach. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake. Community Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge.
