Bert Stanley Thomas Sr., 86, died Feb. 23, 1996.
Mr. Thomas, a native of Newport News, retired as superintendent of CPC International Inc. (Skippy Plant). He was a member and past deacon of Court Street Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Azalea Batten Thomas and his son, B. Stanley Thomas Jr. of Portsmouth.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Boulevard Chapel, by Dr. L. Wilbur Kersey. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 3 to 4 p.m. today. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Court Street Baptist Church Memorial Fund.
