Brenda Joyce Smith, 47, of the 3000 block of Tidewater Drive, died Friday, Feb. 23, 1996, quietly and peacefully in DePaul Medical Center.
She was a native of Norfolk and the daughter of the late Harry L. and Anna Turner Smith. She was formerly employed by AT & T as a long distance operator.
Survivors include two sons, Ramon Lester Smith and Dherri Lamont Wilson; a brother, Frederick T. Smith; four granddaughters, Shatara, Desiree, Ayanna and Tia; two uncles, Clinton G. Turner Jr. and Richard Turner; an aunt, Bernice Turner White; cousins, Carolyn T. Grady, Clinton G. Turner III, Milton Turner; and a devoted friend, Claudette Tammy Henderson.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Friday in Full Gospel Tabernacle, 1825 Cullen Ave., Chesapeake, by Elder Jobie Boone. Burial will be in Riverside Cemetery. Viewing will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Riddick Funeral Service, where the family will be from 7 to 8 p.m. At other times, family will be at 5512 Spring Hill Road, Norfolk. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
