State police have identified two Portsmouth men suspected of shooting at four vehicles near the Victory Boulevard exit of I-264 Monday night.
Gerald Jean, 21, and Cory A. Rabba, 30, were arrested after a police search, police spokeswoman Tammy Van Dame said.
Just before 9:30 p.m., three drivers told police that their cars had been hit by bullets or rocks near the exit.
A state trooper investigating the complaints had his rear window shot out when he tried to turn from the eastbound lanes into the westbound lanes of I-264.
The trooper contacted Portsmouth police, who sent K-9 units to the scene.
Jean, of the 200 block of Cherokee Road, and Rabba, of the 200 block of Mohican Drive, were found in a wooded area just after 10 p.m., police said.
Both were charged with felony shooting into an occupied vehicle, use of a firearm in a felony and destruction of state property.
