Survivors include his wife, Jean Ward Crump; a daughter; two sons; five brothers, Richard Crump of Norfolk, Arrington Crump of Portsmouth, James Crump of Newark, N.J., Wilbert Crump of Morristown, N.J., and Stephen Crump of Richmond, Va.; and other local relatives and friends.
