Jonah Junior Mizell, 35, was charged Thursday in connection with the Wednesday shooting of a neighbor, Rayfel Andre Knight.
Mizell was arrested about 11:30 a.m. at his home in the 2300 block of Lake Cahoon Road. He was charged with malicious wounding and use of a firearm in the commission of a felony.
The shooting apparently was the result of an earlier argument. Knight, 21, was discharged Thursday from Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. He had been peppered with shotgun pellets in the back, police said.
