IDA M. DOERR

Mrs. Ida ``Tink'' McCoy Doerr, 77, of 414 Pineview Drive, died Friday in the Chowan Hosptial.

A native of Chesapeake, Mrs. Doerr was a daughter of the late John Grandy and Ida Gertrude Bond McCoy, and the wife of Robert Moses Doerr of Edenton. Mrs. Doerr was a member of Albemarle Baptist Church in Edenton and a former member of Grove Park Baptist Church in Portsmouth. Mrs. Doerr had worked for the Frederick Military Academy.

Surviving in addition to her husband is a daughter, Sandra Doerr Hudson of Portsmouth; son, James McCoy Doerr of Edenton; sister, Mary Belle Thebeau of Edenton, N.C.; brother, Joe McCoy of Edenton; five grandchildren, Sean Van Doerr, Renne Doerr, and Joanee Doerr, all of Virginia Beach, and Brandon Holt Hudson and Ashley Danielle Hudson, both of Portsmouth. Mrs. Doerr was preceded in death by a brother, Thomas C. McCoy of Portsmouth; and two sisters, Sarah E. Goodman of Norfolk and Florence V. Brinkley of Portsmouth.

The family will receive friends at Evans Funeral Home, Edenton, today from 7 to 8 p.m. A service will be conducted at 8 p.m. today in the Evans Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Greg Brinson and the Rev. Sonny Diggs. A service with entombment will be held Monday in the Meadowbrook Mausoleum Chapel in Suffolk at 2 p.m. Following the service, the family will receive friends at the home of Sandra Doerr Hudson, 403 Bobby Jones Drive, Portsmouth. Memorials may be made to the Albemarle Baptist Church, 445 Soundside Road, Edenton, N.C. 27932.
