Charles F. ``Fred'' Hunter Sr., 94, formerly of 204 Navajo Trail, died March 4, 1996, in Beverly Manor Nursing Home.
Mr. Hunter, the widower of Ruth Hunter, was a retired building supervisor from New York City. He was a native of Raleigh, N.C.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruth A. Patterson; two sons, Charles F. Hunter Jr. and Joseph M. Hunter; a sister, Frances Eldridge; 21 grandchildren; and a host of great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday at Fellowship United Church of Christ, Chesapeake, by the Rev. Winston E. Waugh. Burial will be in Lincoln Cemetery.
