JACKLYN F. SIMMONS

Jacklyn F. ``Jackie'' Simmons, of the 5600 block of Campus Drive, died March 11, 1996, at Portsmouth Naval Hospital.

Mrs. Simmons, a native of Norfolk, was a past president of Little Creek CPO Wives Club and was an active volunteer for the Navy Relief Society.

Survivors include her husband, Carl C. Simmons; a son, Thurman R. Simmons of Chesapeake; her father, Jack Milburn of Culpeper, Va.; two cousins, Jay Tawes and his wife, Ethel, of Salisbury, Md., and Fay Howard and her husband, Charles, of Crisfield, Md.; and a host of other relatives and friends.

A memorial service will be conducted at 10 a.m. Friday at Norview Baptist Church by Dr. James Bradshaw and Father Charles Brickner. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2730 Ellsmere Ave., Norfolk, Va. 23513.
