The Crawford Bay Crew Classic, an intercollegiate rowing regatta, will be held Saturday on the Elizabeth River.
Qualifying heats will begin at 10 a.m., and the final will be in the afternoon. The 2,000-meter course runs from the area of Mobil Oil toward Portside. Viewing from the Seawall is free and open to the public.
An Alumni Tailgate Party will be held in the Signet Bank parking lot. Admission is $20 in advance and $30 the day of the race. Grills, food and beverages are encouraged. by CNB
