CHESAPEAKE - Lossie Mae ``Mimi'' Lewter, 76, of the 700 block of Gainsborough Court, died March 11, 1996, at Chesapeake General Hospital.
She was a native of Wilson, N.C., and a member of Deep Creek Church, where she was a church mother.
Survivors include a daughter, Ruby Johnson of Chesapeake; two sons, Major Melvin of Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., Johnny Taylor of Norfolk; her stepmother, Ella Melvin; 20 grandchildren; two aunts, Katie Hearnes and Shirley Smith; a very special friend, Mr. Leslie Smith; and a host of other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Saturday at Deep Creek Church of Christ Disciples of Christ, Chesapeake, by Pastor Robert D. Ross. Burial will be in Roosevelt Memorial Park, Chesapeake.
