William Scott Rambo Jr., 81, of First Colonial Inn, died Thursday, March 14, 1996, in a Virginia Beach hospital.
He was born in Woodbury Heights, N.J. and was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Dorothy Clark Rambo. Mr. Rambo was retired from Exxon as well as the New Jersey Racing Commission, and he was a member of the Virginia Beach United Methodist Church.
Survivors include two daughters, Janice Rambo Mielke of Condon, Mont. and Pam Watson Rambo of Virginia Beach; three sons, W. Scott Rambo III of Plano, Texas, Clark G. Rambo of Virginia Beach, and Charles P. Rambo of Folsom, N.J.; two sisters, Martha Baldwin and Margaret Clayman both of New Jersey; and a brother, Charles Rambo of Sewell, N.J.; seven grandchildren; and 11great-grandchildren.
A private family memorial service will be conducted at a later date. Friends are invited to visit with the family at the home of his son, Clark Rambo, at 709 Bobolink Drive, Virginia Beach on Saturday from 1 to 4 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to your local Alzheimer's Association or to Virginia Beach United Methodist Church. Cox Funeral Home is handling arrangements.
