Mississippi coach Van Chancellor knows of at least one player who will not be shooting 3-pointers tonight.
``I'll break Yolanda's arm before she shoots the 3-pointer,'' Chancellor joked in reference to his 6-foot All-Southeastern Conference center Yolanda Moore.
And she might be the only Lady Reb reluctant to shoot from behind the arc against Toledo in the East Regional first round at the ODU field house.
The seventh-seeded Rebels (18-10) are 15th in the nation in 3-point percentage (.364). Junior Regan Seybert leads the firing squad.
Seybert is the all-time Mississippi leader in 3-pointers made (161) and was second in the SEC in 3-point field-goal percentage (419).
But the Rebels are going against a team that is no stranger to treys.
Led by senior Heather Smith, who was fifth in the Mid-American Conference in 3-point percentage (.369), the 10th-seeded Rockets (24-5) are 17th inationally in 3-pointers made per game (5.8).
The difference in the game could be inside. All three of Toledo's frontcourt starters are at least 6-feet and combine to average nearly 48 points a game.
Moore, who averages 15.9 points, is the only Mississippi frontcourt player in double figures.
``We're very well matched in size,'' said 6-1 Rocket forward Angela Drake, who leads Toledo in scoring (19.7) and rebounding (8.7). by CNB
