JAMES M. COOK

James M. Cook, 72, of Virginia Beach, died March 15, 1996, in a Virginia Beach Hospital.

Mr. Cook was born in Stonington, Conn. He was retired from the Virginia Beach School System and taught for 33 years at Virginia Beach Junior High School, now known as Virginia Beach Middle School. He was a member of Galilee Episcopal Church in Virginia Beach. Mr. Cook was a member of Virginia Beach Sports Club, Virginia Beach Host Lions Club and the Princess Anne Ruritan Club.

Survivors include his wife, Laura T. Cook of Virginia Beach; one daughter, Theresa Gray Hodge, and son-in-law, Gary R. Hodge, of Cary, N.C.; one sister, Barbara Cook Muese, and a niece, Dianne Muese Barbar, both of Westerly, Rhode Island; and three grandchildren, James Daniel Hodge, Megan Kathleen Hodge, and Rebecca Anne Hodge.

A funeral service will be conducted at 4 p.m. Tuesday, March 19, 1996, at Galilee Episcopal Church by the Rev. Russell Burchard. Memorial donations may be made to the Jim Cook Scholarship Fund c/o Virginia Beach Middle School, 600 25th St., Virginia Beach, Va. 23451, or to charity of choice. H.D. Oliver Funeral Apts., Laskin Road Chapel, is handling arrangements.
