Kenneth H. Lambert Jr., John Y. Richardson Jr., Heather A. Mullen and Neal P. Brodsky were elected to the management committee and as officers of Williams Kelly & Greer in Norfolk. Lambert will continue to serve as president of the firm and Richardson was re-elected vice president.
Former U.S. Rep. Thomas N. Downing and H. Vincent Conway have joined the Newport News law firm of Jones, Blechman, Woltz & Kelly. Downing was named counsel for the firm. He served in the House of Representatives from the First District for 20 years. Conway was named a partner of the firm. He served on the Newport News Planning Commission for seven years, five as chairman.
EMPLOYMENT SERVICES
Pam Creef was named office manager with Priority Staffing Services in Chesapeake. She was a former sales manager for Select Staffing Services in Norfolk and has over seven years experience in marketing and human resources.
CONSTRUCTION
Mark L. Greenwalt was named senior vice president, corporate partner with Abante Corp. in Norfolk. He will be responsible for estimating, sales, purchasing, as well as corporate development. Prior to this, he was with CBC Enterprises Inc. in Norfolk.
ENGINEERING
Douglas W. Talbot was named vice president of business development at Clark Nexsen, Architects and Engineers in Norfolk, formerly known as Clark, Nexsen, Owen, Barbieri, Gibson. Talbot was the founder of Talbot & Associates, a local architectural, engineering, planning and surveying firm.
MANUFACTURING
Raymond D. Symmes was named manager of human resource development at Tarmac America in Norfolk. He will be responsible for the development of individual and group training programs. Previously, he worked in human resources for Allied Colloids Inc. in Suffolk and Hoechst Celanese Corporation in Shelby, N.C.
Paul Pishko was named director of human resources for Virginia at Tarmac. He moves to this assignment from management of compensation and benefits for Tarmac America, which he joined in 1990.
And, Yvonne Smith was promoted from human resources supervisor to manager of human resources information systems and employee benefits. She joined Tarmac in 1987 and was previously payroll supervisor and benefits administrator.
FINANCE
David L. Finn was named manager of Altegra Credit Co.'s new Virginia Beach office, which opened Jan. 1. In his new position, he will be responsible for identifying customer and client needs, analyzing the market for growth opportunities, establishing sales goals and objectives, monitoring loan production and overall branch profitability. Previously, he served as a loan counselor for Eastern Savings Bank in Norfolk.
MEDIA
Lee Ann Dickson was named general manager for Flagship, the area's only authorized newspaper, which is published by Commonwealth Printing Co., a subsidiary of Landmark Communications. Dickson was previously circulation marketing manager for The Virginian-Pilot.
ACCOUNTING
Kenneth D. Bricker was named government contracting specialist at Goodman & Co. in Norfolk. His responsibilities will include working with clients on a variety of regulatory issues including Defense Contract Audit Agency audits, job costing and system design, calculations of overhead, fringe benefits and G&A rates. He previously worked at the Defense Contract Audit Agency where he was a senior auditor.
The board of directors of Frederick B. Hill & Co. in Norfolk elected Gary C. Carlton as president and Robert E. Raper as vice president.
MUSEUMS
Paul A. Levine was named director of marketing for Nauticus, the National Maritime Center in Norfolk. He will direct all marketing, advertising, sales and public relations. He served as director of advertising for Spirit Cruises Inc., a national harbor cruise company headquartered in Norfolk.
