SAUL LAWRENCE

Saul Lawrence, 74, of the 44000 block of Airline Blvd., died March 17, 1996, in Hampton Veterans Hospital, Hampton.

He was a retired custodian for the Chesapeake City Public School System, where he had worked for nine years. He was a native of Franklin, Va., and was both a member and deacon of the Church of the Lord Jesus Christ of the Apostolic Faith, Portsmouth. He was a 25-year retired electronics technician from Norfolk Naval Air Station. He was a U.S. Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Inez Lawrence; son, Floyd Lawrence of Patterson, N.J.; six grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, in-laws; and friends.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Thursday by Elder Nathan Thomas in Pentecostal Holiness Church Cemetery, Portsmouth. Viewing at Corprew Funeral Home will begin at 10 a.m. Wednesday. Family and friends will assemble at the funeral home at 10:15 a.m. Thursday. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
