Mary S. White, 71, of the 200 block of Dale Drive, died March 17, 1996.
She was a native of Norfolk County, Va., and was a member of Bethel Baptist Church, Chesapeake.
She is survived by her daughter, Freda B. Rumble; son, James L. White; five sisters, Helen Simmons, Eula Allen, Pennie Lawrimore, Pauline Smith, Pinkie Brown; two brothers, Herman Nixon and George Nixon; three grandchildren; and one great-grandchild.
A funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday by the Rev. Samuel P. Sykes in Bethel Baptist Church, 2841, Bunchwalnut Road, Chesapeake. Burial is in Lincoln Cemetery, Portsmouth. Fisher Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
