Doris H. Hardison, 44, of the 400 block of Rock Drive, died Sunday, March 17, 1996, in a Norfolk hospital.
Mrs. Hardison was born in Pasadena, Texas, and was the daughter of Sarah Bennett Harris of Chesapeake and the late Ernest M. Harris Sr. She had retired as a bus driver with TRT after 10 years of service.
Other survivors include her husband, Richard C. Hardison; two daughters, Melissa Farrar and Tracy Allen, both of Chesapeake; two stepdaughters, Tammy Moates of West Virginia and Tracy Durfee of Texas; a brother, Ernest M. Harris Jr. of Hertford, N.C.; three grandchildren, April and David Durfee and Scott Hardison; a nephew, Shawn Harris; a niece, Lisa Harris; and a great-nephew, Brian Harris.
A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Wednesday in the chapel of Oman Funeral Home, Great Bridge, by the Rev. Paul Moore. Interment will be in Chesapeake Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. Memorial contributions may be made to the Arthritis Foundation, 900 Commonwealth Place, Virginia Beach, 23464.
