Gerald Dean Roughton, 65, died March 18, 1996, in Portsmouth General Hospital. He was a native of Edenton, N.C.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Cecil M. Roughton and Eunice Bowen Roughton, and his brother, Billy Ray Roughton.
He is survived by two daughters, Kelly D. Jones and Tracey D. Williams, both of Portsmouth; two sisters, Gayle R. Justice of Portsmouth and Shirley R. Rose of Chesapeake; five grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in Greenlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends Wednesday evening at 3004 Tyre Neck Road, Chesapeake. Sturtevant Funeral Home, Portsmouth Blvd. Chapel, is handling arrangements.
