SCHOOL BOARD CANDIDATE WITHDRAWS

Ann E. Cramer-Burniske has withdrawn from the race for the Lynnhaven Borough seat on the Virginia Beach School Board.

Cramer-Burniske, the mother of two small children, cited time commitments.

``I just felt at this particular time, I wanted to devote my time to my children,'' she said Monday.

Cramer-Burniske was one of 50 people to file for seven seats on the School Board. Four candidates remain for the Lynnhaven Borough seat.

No one else has withdrawn, according to the registrar of voters.
