Firefighters late Sunday extinguished an arson blaze that damaged a real-estate office near Newtown and Diamond Springs roads.
Fire spokesman Mike Wade said equipment had been stolen from the William E. Wood and Associates offices, and the fire may have been set to cover the burglary. He said firefighters found heavy flames when they arrived, and it took 45 minutes to control the blaze.
No one was hurt.
