R.L. ``Reggie'' Watkins, 67, of the 9500 block of Bayfront Drive, died March 18, 1996, at his residence.
Mr. Watkins, a native of Norfolk, retired from the MCPO U.S. Coast Guard after 36 years of active duty and reserve service. He was a member of Colonial Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. He was also a member of Norview Masonic Lodge (NU)113, Scottish Rite Bodies, and a charter member of the Virginia Beach Shag Club.
He is survived by a brother, John R. Watkins Jr. of Virginia Beach and his fiancee, Mary Yohe of Norfolk.
A graveside service will be conducted at 12:30 p.m. Thursday by Pastor-Emeritus Keith Davey. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Bayside Chapel, today from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Masonic rites will be accorded at the graveside.
