GREEN RUN LIKELY TO LEAD THE PACK AGAIN

GREEN RUN WAS in a class of its own last year, walking away with the Beach District boys track and field team championship and the Group AAA state 4x100 meter relay title.

With 11 athletes returning, can Green Run repeat?

``If we can stay healthy and develop our jump personnel, we will be difficult to beat,'' Stallions coach Elisha ``Cadillac'' Harris said.

Leading the way is Cedric Warren. The senior sprinter won the district 100 and 200 titles and anchored the 4x100 relay team to the district crown. Warren should get help from Plaxico Burress and Sevend Mason. Burress, an Parade All-American wide receiver headed to Michigan State, is one of the district's top hurdlers. Mason is one of the area's top 400 meter runners.

Expect Cox, Kellam, Salem and Tallwood to be among the schools furnishing competition.

Here's a look at the district, including the school's finish in the district meet.
