MARY L. SMITH

Mary Lucille Smith, 84, died March 20, 1996, in a Portsmouth hospital.

She was a native of Barnett, Miss., and the widow of John S. Smith.

She is survived by a daughter, Betty S. Lane of Portsmouth; brother, Robert Killian of Birmingham, Ala.; granddaughter, Cheryl Loges of Panama City, Fla.; four grandsons, Michael Herrington of Birmingham, Wayne D. and Thomas Herrington, both of Virginia Beach, and Jeffrey S. Lane of Portsmouth; four great-grandchildren.

A graveside service will be conducted at 11 a.m. Saturday in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. The family will be at Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, today from 5 to 6 p.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Lee's Friends.
