(Ret.) Col. Thomas Booth Blake Jr., 72, died Thursday, March 21, 1996.
A native of Norfolk, he was a Peninsula resident for 32 years. He was an Air Force veteran of World War II, Korea and Vietnam, he served two tours of duty in Vietnam flying C-130s and retired in 1971 after 27 years of service. He was a member of York Exchange Club, Yorktown.
He is survived by a daughter, Deborah B. O'Sullivan of Mechanicsville; son, Thomas B. Blake III of Newport News; sister, Margaret Poore of Richmond; and two granddaughters, Emerald D. O'Sullivan and Heather R. O'Sullivan.
A funeral service will be held Monday, March 25, at 2 p.m. in Amory Funeral Home, Chapel, Grafton, with the Rev. Gilliam Gordon. Burial will follow in Peninsula Memorial Park, Newport News, with full military honors. The family will receive friends Sunday from 3 to 4 p.m. in the funeral home.
