Lucille Hampton Thompson, 73, of the 5100 block of Violet Bank Drive, died March 20, 1996, in a local hospital.
She was a retired homemaker. She was a native of Jenkinjones, W.Va., and the widow of Chester A. Thompson Jr. She was a member of New Light Baptist Church, Virginia Beach, and was a member of the Widows Auxiliary, and Nurses Aid Unit. She was also a member of the Eureka Lodge.
She is survived by a daughter, Mrs. Oneida Lacey of Virginia Beach; son, Mr. Chester Thompson of Lansing, Mich.; three grandchildren, Stafford Thompson of Lansing, Mich., and Keith Lacey and Jennifer Lacey of Virginia Beach; three great-grandchildren; and a host of other devoted relatives and friends.
A funeral service will be at noon Saturday by the Rev. R.B. Lewis Sr. in New Light Baptist Church, Virginia Beach. The body will be placed in the church at 10:30 a.m. Saturday. Friends will assemble with the family at 5125 Violet Bank Drive, Virginia Beach, Saturday at 11 a.m. for the funeral procession to the church. Metropolitan Funeral Service is in charge.
