Nathan Thomas Sawyer, 81, of the 2000 block of Reuben St., died Monday, March 25, 1996.
He was retired from the Norfolk Naval Shipyard and was a native of Columbia, N.C.
He is survived by his wife, Nora G. Sawyer; four daughters, Ellen Gail McGinnis of Virginia Beach, Edith Kay Marsh of Michigan, Joy Mason of Minnesota, Sandra Pierce of California; two sons, John Sawyer of Louisiana, Edward McGinnis of Virginia Beach; and a host of beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
The visitation will be held today from 6 to 8 p.m. at Kellum Funeral Home, Bonney Road Chapel, Virginia Beach. Services will be conducted on Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the funeral home by the Rev. Warren Wilson. Burial will follow the service in Princess Anne Memorial Park.
