NETTIE A. WINSLOW

Nettie A. Winslow, 94, of the 3300 block of Shadyside Lane, died March 24, 1996, at her residence.

Mrs. Winslow, the widow of Elbert Worth Winslow, was a retired secretary from A. Lee Rawlings and Co., where she worked for 27 years. She was a native of Fairmont, N.C., and a member of Fairmount Park United Methodist Church. She was a member of Order of the Eastern Star Virginia Chapter (NU)22, and Ballentine Place Garden Club.

Survivors include her family, Donald and Rose Jones of Chesapeake; four grandchildren, John Worth Jones of Chesapeake, Janet L. and Norman Tucker, and Christi R. Jones, all of Portsmouth; a great-granddaughter, Morgan Leigh Tucker of Portsmouth; and various nieces and nephews.

The funeral will be conducted at 7 p.m. today at Snellings Funeral Home, Churchland Chapel, by Dr. Donald A. Baird and the Rev. W. Thomas Wood. Burial will be in Up River Cemetery, Whiteston, N.C. at 3 p.m. Wednesday. There will be a viewing prior to and following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Fairmount Park United Methodist Church, 3113 Verdun Ave., Norfolk, 23509.
