Ernest Lee ``Bro Jones'' Jones Sr., 61, of the 800 block of Charlotte St., died March 23, 1996, due to natural causes.
He was retired from Yellow Cab Co. He had been retired for five years. He was a native of Oak City, N.C., and was the widower of Mrs. Carrie B. Jones.
She is survived by three daughters, Cynthia L. Jones, Lydia Gray Savage, Sarah L. Dickens; four sons, Ernest Jones Jr., Wilbert Dickens, Milton Jones, Dennis R. Jones; parents, Annie Mae and Walter Jones Sr.; two sisters, Hattie Jones, Hilda Jones, both of New York; three brothers, Herbert Jones of Rocky Mount, N.C., Columbus Jones of New Jersey, Walter Jones Jr. of New York; 18 grandchildren; six great-grandchildren; and a host of friends and relatives.
A funeral will be conducted at 1 p.m. Friday by the Rev. Anthony Moses in Hale Funeral Chapel. Burial is in Roosevelt Memorial Park.
