Alice Padon Nichols, 74, a homemaker, of the 1800 block of Broadfield Road, died March 30, 1996, in DePaul Hospital. Born in Princess Anne County, she was the widow of Stanley O. Nichols Sr. She was a member of the former Christian Temple and a tournament bridge player.
She is survived by her daughter, Janet N. Holland of Norfolk; son, Stanley O. Nichols Jr. of Chesapeake; sister, Cora Atkinson of Virginia Beach; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be 2 p.m. Wednesday in Forest Lawn Cemetery. The family will be at Smith and Williams Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, Tuesday from 7 to 8 p.m. The family will also be at the home of Mrs. Alice P. Nichols, 1800 block of Broadfield Road, Norfolk.
