DORIS R. LINDEMAN

Doris Rogers Lindeman, 94, of the 8900 block of Park Road, died Saturday, March 30, 1996, at Mercy Hospital South in Charlotte.

Mrs. Lindeman was born in Petersburg, Va., Jan. 27, 1902. She was the daughter of Nancy Childress and Harry Miffelton Rogers and the widow of Bernard Kepper Lindeman. She was a member of the Episcopal Church and active in the Altar Guild and the Episcopal Church Women. A resident of Virginia Beach for 50 years, she moved to Charlotte in 1990.

Survivors include her daughters, Mary Elizabeth Lindeman Wilson of Charlotte and Margery Lindeman Wright of Petersburg; two granddaughters, Nancy Wilson Duncan of Charlotte and Ellen Stansbury Wilson of Takoma Park, Md.; and one great-granddaughter, Jessie McBrayer Duncan.

A memorial service will be held at 3:30 p.m. today in Southminster Retirement Community. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday in Blandford Cemetery, Petersburg, conducted by the Rev. David H. Teschner and the Rev. Dr. Boston M. Lackey Jr.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Historic Blandford Cemetery Foundation Inc., 250 S. Sycamore St., Petersburg, Va. 23803, or Southminster Endowment Fund, 8919 Park Road, Charlotte, N.C. 28210. J.T. Morriss & Sons Funeral Home, Petersburg, and Harry & Bryant Company, Charlotte, are handling arrangements.
