MANY ARE QUALIFIED FOR SCHOOL BOARD

Vice Adm. James B. Stockdale's letter (``George Coker for Beach schools,'' March 26) was quite impressive, and I admire the respect he has for his friend. But there are 15 individuals running for the at-large, two-year-term seat. Do you plan on giving as much space to those other 14 individuals if their friends write to you with their endorsement?

I will not dispute the fact that Mr. Coker is possibly qualified for this position. But I attended a session at the Central Library in Virginia Beach recently and was equally impressed with many of the other individuals running for this seat.
