THELMA F. SANDERLIN

Thelma Ferrell Sanderlin, 96, passed into eternal home April 2, 1996, at the Riverside Hospital, Newport News, Va.

She was the widow of Jesse T. Sanderlin who died in 1950, and the daughter of the late of Mr. and Mrs. G. Napoleon Ferrell. She resided at 498 Romayne Drive, Newport News. A graduate of a Norfolk Business School she was employed at the Merchant and Miners Steamship Co., Norfolk and Western and NationsBank. She was an Elder Emeritus of the Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church, past president of the Women of the Church and member of the Mary Stamps Class.

Survivors include a brother, B. Lewis Ferrell of Whaleyville, Va.; sister, Cameron F. Keene of Norfolk; grandson, Charles Flippen of Chesapeake; and granddaughters, Cynthia F. Marks M.D. of Newport News; four great-grandchildren, Michelle Flippen, Catherine Flippen, Charles Whitfield Marks and William Sanderlin Marks.

The funeral will be conducted at Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church at 2 p.m. Friday by with Dr. John Monroe conducting the service. He will be assisted by Dr. William Wilson. The family will receive friends at the Tidewater facility of Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. today. Burial will be at Elmwood Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Royster Memorial Presbyterian Church.
