John T. Kimbrell, 78, of the 1900 block of Foxwood Drive, died April 3, 1996, in his residence.
He was a retired builder for Kimbrell Construction Co. in Orange County, Calif. He was a native of Oklahoma and the widower of Ruth Belle Enloe Kimbrell. He was a member of Church of Christ where he was a deacon. He was a member of Southern California Builder's Association. He was honored by the Boys Club of American in California and was Builder of the Year in Southern California.
He is survived by two daughters, Judy Nunnally of Chesapeake, June E. Kimbrell of Huntington Beach, Calif.; two sons, Jerry T. Kimbrell of Norco, Calif., James Kimbrell of Black Forest, Colo.; sister, Gladys May of Oklahoma; brother, Jack Kimbrell of Costa Mesa, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; daughters-in-law, Shelley Lynn Kimbrell and Jan Kimbrell.
A graveside service will be in Forest Lawn Cemetery, Cypress, Calif. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today at 7 to 9 p.m. Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Great Bridge Chapel, in charge.
