WAYNE E. ARNOLD

Gunny Sergeant Wayne E. Arnold, 61, U.S. Marine Corps (Ret.), died April 2, 1996, in a Hampton hospital.

He was a native of York, Pa., and a retired Gunny Sergeant with the Marines after 23 1/2 years of service. He was a member of Elizabeth Masonic Lodge (NU)34 AF&AM Scottish Rite Bodies, Khedive Temple, Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 4809, life member of Bernard L. Hines Chapter (NU)21, Disabled American Veterans, and the Fleet Reserve Association. He served one tour of duty in Korea and two tours in Vietnam. He was a native of York, Pa.

He is survived by his wife, Lena O. Arnold; two sons, Howard P. Arnett and his wife, Phyllis Arnett, of Warner Robins, Ga., and George Lee Arnett and his wife, Linda Arnett, of Yorktown; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.

A funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Friday by the Rev. Paul L. Kettner in Hollomon-Brown Funeral Home, Kempsville Chapel. Burial will be in Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens with military honors. The family will receive friends at the funeral home today from 7 to 9 p.m. Masonic rites will be accorded at the funeral home Friday at 11 a.m.
