The Rev. Malvin L. Brothers, 68, a native of Gates County, died March 31, 1996, at Cheltenham Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Philadelphia. Rev. Brothers is the son of the late Joseph and Lillie Jones Brothers.
Survivors include a son, Malvin L. Brothers Jr. of Philadelphia; brother, Jerry Brothers of Philadelphia; brother, Jerry Brothers of Philadelphia; two sisters, Amanda Scott of Norfolk and Doris Green of New York; and several nieces and nephews.
A funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Zion Tabernacle Baptist Church in Corapeake. Burial will following the church cemetery. The family will meet at the residence of Mrs. Tabitha J. Harrell in Sunbury. Crocker Funeral Home, Suffolk, is in charge.
