Fletcher ``Lambert Point'' Felton Jr., 61, of the 5900 block of Clear Spring Court, died April 3, 1996.
Mr. Felton, a native of Norfolk, had been retired for two years from the International Longshoremens Association, Local (NU)1248, after 29 years of service. He was a member of New Calvary Baptist Church, Norfolk, where he was a youth fellowship sponsor. He was marshal of the city of Virginia Beach Municipal Golf Courses. He received the Hampton Roads Shipping Association's Outstanding Service Award.
Survivors include his wife, Alma Felton; a daughter, Felicia R. Felton of Virginia Beach; two sisters, Hattie J. Felton Prince of Warrensville Heights, Ohio, and Lenora Felton of Cleveland, Ohio; a brother, Clinton Felton of Elmhurst, N.Y.; two uncles, Clarence Ross and James V. Ross, both of Norfolk; cousin, Lionel Bullock; mother-in-law, Mrs. Lillie Morris; stepfather-in-law, Johnnie Morris; father-in-law, Melvin T. Cooke; eight brothers-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and a host of relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his parents, Eleanor Ross Felton and Fletcher Felton Sr.
The funeral will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday at New Calvary Baptist Church by Dr. Gilbert G. Campbell Jr. Burial will be in Woodlawn Memorial Gardens, 6309 Virginia Beach Blvd., Norfolk. Hale Funeral Home, Norfolk, is in charge. ILLUSTRATION: Photo
