Regarding ``Prepare for PETA and veggies only'' (letter, April 6): Right on, David Bowen! I would guess that 95 percent of the people who live in this area agree with him.
Shame on the city of Norfolk for allowing such a radical group to locate here, and so close to Nauticus. Sure hope that PETA doesn't scare away the tourists.
If the group wants to protect something, why don't members stand guard in Berkley and guard little children from being shot? Why don't members stand guard on George Washington Highway so that young fathers can return home safely after attending a ball game?
PETA seems to have lots of money. Where does it all come from? Does the organization have a business license? Does it pay taxes?
I sure hope none of them get in front of me while I am looking at the fish for sale in the seafood market.
