JOHN E. HAWKINS

John Edward Hawkins, of the 6200 block of Chesapeake Blvd., died April 6, 1996, at his residence.

Mr. Hawkins, a laborer, was a native of Florence County, S.C. He was of the Holliness Faith.

Survivors include his wife, Sheila Hawkins; a daughter, Alexandria Hawkins of Chesapeake; two sons, Mario Hawkins and Sheldon Hawkins, both of Chesapeake; his mother, Rosa Lee (Lowery) Hawkins of Norfolk; his father, Asbury Hawkins of Florida; three sisters, Barbara Hoskie of Baltimore, Md., Annie Mae Hawkins of Norfolk, Sandra Vann of Virginia Beach; and a brother, Steve Lowery of Suitland, Md.

The funeral will be conducted at noon Thursday at Full Gospel Church of Deliverance by Pastor Ernest Martin. Burial will be in Olive Branch Cemetery. The remains will be ready for viewing today at 3:30 p.m. Carlos A. Howard Funeral Home, Norfolk Chapel, is in charge. The family will assemble at 6240 Chesapeake Blvd., Apt. 4, at 11 a.m. Thursday for the procession.
